Welcome to Space2Parent
Based in Leamington Spa, we help families and carers of children with emotional, psychological and behavioural issues
Hello, my name is Cleo Barnes, and I am the founder and creator of Space2Parent.
Firstly thank you for taking the time to visit and read through our website. I hope it has given you something you are looking for. It has been a passion of mine for many years to create a place for parents/caregivers to get the space, time and information they need to help them through their parenting journey.
I, too, am a parent of two daughters and have first-hand experience of both the emotional and psychological challenges dealing with behaviours that I, as a mother, did not feel equipped to deal with.
I believe that my personal challenges as a parent enable me to truly understand the frustration, shame and guilt we can so often experience as parents. Particularly when we have to watch our children act out, withdraw from the world or engage in self-destructive behaviour.
My extensive training and work as a psychotherapist have allowed me to learn about the theory of human development and how to create a safe environment for personal growth and healing. Through this valuable learning experience, I have been able to answer some of my own parenting questions and overcome many of the daily challenges I was regularly faced with. My aim with Space2Parent has been to both pass on this valuable knowledge and create a place where parents, grandparents and carers can get the information, help and support they need, something I know from personal experience is so needed and yet so difficult to find.
